Dr Vipan Vig as the Director of Vitreo-Retina services at Amritsar Eye Hospital. Dr Vig needs no formal introduction as such, as he is one of the stalwarts of Ophthalmology from Punjab. He is fondly referred to as “The Guru of Gurus” as he has trained a large number of retina surgeons who are now working on senior faculty positions across the globe, and his word is considered final while treating difficult cases. Lakhs of patients suffering from retinal diseases have benefited from his expert care over the years. He has been a pioneer in the field of Retinopathy of Prematurity treatment in Punjab and thousands of prematurely born children, who are growing up or are grown ups now, are able to live a normal life due to the expert and timely treatment provided with compassion by Dr Vig at the most critical moments of their lives.

Dr Pawan Prasher is Associate Director of Amritsar Eye Hospital, and Professor of Ophthalmology at SGRD Medical College, Amritsar. After completion of residency in Ophthalmology, he did a fellowship in Cornea, External Diseases and Refractive Surgery from University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (USA); and a fellowship in Ocular Pathology from Jules Stein Eye Institute, University of California, Los Angeles (USA). Dr Prasher has authored numerous) publications In peer reviewed journals and has given presentations in various regional, national and international meetings. He has been serving as an editorial board member and as a reviewer for a number of international and and national journals. He has been a recipient of research award from American ociety of Cataract and Refractive surgery, Pradeep Swarup Award from All India Opthalmological Society, Developing Nations grant from Asia Pacific Academy of Opthalmology and Young Achiever's award from Nort Zone Opthalmological Society.
